Travel Advice

Many of you have asked for advice on where to go when visiting Germany. The answer to this question has to be extremely subjective. Germany with its 80+ million people may not be a major country by global standards, but it is extremely diverse. The legacy of the Holy Roman Empire is that it does not have a capital like Paris or London, where everybody who is anybody in politics, business, art or science has to spend at least a significant part of tehir career. berlin, fascinating as it is, does not have that.

Instead we have dozens and dozens of centres that are not just regiuonal hubs, but national centres, like Frankfurt in banking, Hamburg in publishing, Stuttgart in manufacturing, and even tiny places like Kunzelsau can host global market leaders.

Hence, if you go to Germany you will not be able to see everything, but wherever you go, you will concentrate on just one of two things. The question is, whoch are the things that rock your boat?

I know what they are for me, and I have produced to two episodes where I take you through 32 places, two for each Bundesland, I recommend to see, but note, this is just a selection out of hundreds…
