Many of you have asked me whether I would offer merchandise for the History of the Germans Podcast. So far I have not done that for a simple reason. The economics do not stack up. A printed t-shirt costs about £12-£16 plus shipping, which can be £4-6 and a payment fee of 0.3% on all of it means I would have to sell the t-shirt for £30 pounds and get maybe £8 or £9 out of this.

Hence merchandise is not a way to boost the revenues of the podcast but effectively a marketing exercise. If that is so, why not offer all of this for free.

Basically You can download any of the images on this site and put them on whatever merchandise you fancy, t-shirts, mugs, phone cases, anything. All you need top do is fid a local print shop – and there are literally thousands of those, choose a t-shirt, upload the image and put it on. All I ask you is t wear it and show it to people – and please do not alter the images – I spent a long time on those and do not want to see them butchered.
